The APCB Group began with APCB Inc., which was founded in August 1981. Located in New Taipei City, its main products were double-sided printed circuit boards and multilayer printed circuit boards, initially focused on producing PCBs for consumer electronics. To keep pace with continued market growth and meet customer demand, the company expanded its plant in 1986 and officially moved to its current site in Shulin District, New Taipei City, in 1988.
The APCB Group currently comprises APCB (Taiwan), Jing-Yi (Thailand plant), and Jing-Lu (mainland China plant). A publicly listed, high-performing company, it is a professional multilayer printed circuit board manufacturer certified to ISO 14001 and IATF 16949. Its products supply the optoelectronics, communications, information technology, and consumer electronics industries, and thanks to precise business strategy, its performance has continued to grow year after year.
APCB adopted MiDFUN’s SPC system in 2009. The company was extremely rigorous, setting weekly milestones during the system rollout and requiring all participating units to update their progress daily, which left a deep impression on MiDFUN. It was precisely this spirit that allowed the company to roll out the system very quickly, completing the integration and connection of the MES and ERP systems within three months. In 2011, the company independently completed a new product design: MiDFUN MDC. This product enabled MiDFUN SPC to automatically set up the control items and machine connections for each station for new part numbers, greatly reducing the time and manpower needed to verify production quality for new products, earning customer praise and accelerating the company’s ability to enter automotive certification. Starting in 2012, MiDFUN SPC gradually expanded to Jing-Lu in mainland China and Jing-Yi in Thailand alongside the company’s business expansion, giving the company a solid foundation for its growth.
In 2016 and 2017, the company independently developed an on-site information input system that used purpose-built hardware collectors to gather field data in real time with low power consumption, a simple interface, and reasonable cost, and which could be combined with the MiDFUN SPC system to further achieve the goals of Industry 4.0.
In 2018, building on the foundation of their previous collaboration, the two parties used the SPC system to expand the rollout to on-site dashboard system integration, and went a step further to combine FMEA and CP in research and development with the existing SPC system, advancing the capability from manufacturing forward to encompass research and development through production. With the company’s tireless dedication and strength in improving its own capabilities, we believe it is certain to keep creating an even more brilliant future.
