YOKE Industrial Corp. is a professional manufacturer of safety hooks and lifting hardware for industrial cranes. Across every product in the safety-hook industry, YOKE emphasizes equipment safety, pursuing refined quality, continuous research and innovation, ongoing management improvement, and the creation of customer satisfaction. For many years, “quality and safety” has been YOKE’s consistent, unwavering commitment and requirement.
To meet the demands of its future global expansion, YOKE deployed the SAP system in 2008 to combine it with management practice, and in 2023 deployed the MiDFUN SPC system. The SAP system and the SPC system effectively integrate information (MIC) into a single continuous flow: from the receiving order and incoming-inspection order in the ERP-SAP system, through quality control, to the shipping report. This raises overall production and quality management efficiency, strengthens the planning and use of the enterprise’s overall resources and capabilities, and improves the company’s competitiveness.
During the deployment, to meet YOKE’s requirements, MiDFUN not only connected the production work orders at the front end of the SAP system through the MIC platform (the production-inspection verification module) and enabled inspection results to be returned, but also developed the following additional project functions:
- SPC PLM drawing-file search: retrieves drawing files and displays them within SPC, so that the latest version of R&D drawings can appear in the SPC system, preventing shop-floor staff from making measurement errors due to outdated drawing versions.
- Joint-inspection mechanism with SAP data transfer: for products in the SAP system that require joint inspection, data can be transferred directly through SAP, and certain SAP information is synchronized into the SPC stratification layers for subsequent analysis.
- Automated connection of Bluetooth wireless calipers and micrometers: making small gauges from Mitutoyo, SYLVAC, and others wireless.
- Anomaly-handling tracking master list: all in-plant process-anomaly records can be exported into a master list for subsequent anomaly analysis.
- Intelligent automated quality reporting management:
- Reports required by each unit — such as the daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly data needed by process staff, shop-floor supervisors, unit managers, and plant managers — can be automatically emailed to designated recipients at scheduled times.
- For the quality reports and analysis chart formats users frequently view, along with their data-search range conditions, shortcuts can be created so users can click to select and immediately obtain the quality status.
- Users can filter the inspection data they need layer by layer according to time range and stratification (such as machine or lot number). The system provides anomaly alerts for quality parameters such as Ca, Cp, and Cpk, and switches among various analysis charts on the same screen for quick analysis.
Conclusion:
In early 2023, MiDFUN carried out the deployment of SPC, MIC, and QIR. After going live at the end of 2023, the plant-wide ERP system and quality were perfectly combined. This not only allows YOKE to meet customer requirements but also enables more precise control and analysis of production quality variation, effectively raising the standard of quality refinement that customers demand.
