Yageo Corporation is one of the world’s largest suppliers of chip resistors, providing and meeting a wide range of product applications across the market, including automotive, industrial, alternative energy, and consumer electronics. Yageo offers a full line of chip resistors, covering automotive metal current sensors, thin-film precision resistors, anti-surge resistors, high-power resistors, high-voltage resistors, resistor networks, ultra-miniature (01005 and 0075) resistors, and many more specifications.

 
As production volumes continued to reach new highs, controlling quality gradually became more difficult. After more than a year of evaluation and assessment, Yageo finally partnered with MiDFUN in 2015 to carry out a comprehensive digitalization of its quality operations. After a year of implementation, three plants in Nanzi, the Dashe plant, and two plants in Suzhou were all fully brought online. During the rollout, the two sides further collaborated on on-site instrument automation, using the MiDFUN SPC system as a plant-wide analysis tool. They planned reports for on-site analysis and quality-related charts for management use, and leveraged the BI component to automate plant-wide report distribution. This part saved a great deal of manpower otherwise spent on daily routine tasks. The manpower freed up was then redeployed to improve the manufacturing process, turning the factory from a negative cycle into a positive one. Now, as the experience accumulated through the cooperation between the two sides keeps growing, the company can stand firm amid increasingly demanding quality requirements, while the MiDFUN system continues to innovate to meet more future needs.
