Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. was founded in 1983. Its products mainly consist of light-emitting diode related products, including outdoor full-color display LEDs, high-reliability LEDs for automotive applications, high-power LED modules, ambient light sensors, ultra-high-brightness white SMD LEDs, ultra-thin full-color SMD LEDs, and high-brightness thin small surface-mount displays. Everlight Electronics currently has around 2,000 employees and four plant sites across Taiwan and mainland China. Upholding the philosophy of “excellence, innovation, integrity, quality, and execution,” it places meeting customer needs as its top priority. Over 33 years of dedicated focus on LED packaging products, it has become a leading manufacturer in LED applications in Taiwan.
Because the original Excel-based SPC system frequently crashed when searching through large volumes of data, and its functionality could no longer meet the growing demands of quality assurance, after several years of struggle Everlight Electronics adopted the MiDFUN SPC system in 2008 to replace its original SPC system. The first focus was automation, including push-pull force gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), height gauges, BIN sorters, and so on. With the assistance of MiDFUN’s years of experience, each was connected smoothly one by one, effectively reducing the burden on personnel. The company later secured a large order from a European customer, which greatly boosted the morale of the quality assurance department that year.
Through years of change and the company’s expansion, MiDFUN has remained consistent throughout. Its product features and development pace responded promptly to changes in regulations, passing the requirements of Everlight’s senior management in every test and earning the recognition of the relevant on-site supervisors.
In 2018, the two parties built upon the foundation of their prior collaboration to expand the deployment through the SPC system, integrating it with MES and BARCODE. The company used Taiwan as its base, gradually upgrading the existing legacy MiDFUN SPC 5000 to the 2018 SPC PLUS II version, and using Yuanli as the foundation to extend the upgraded automation and applications to the various plants in mainland China. After verification proved effective, this was expanded to the Tongluo plant site in 2019. As integration needs grew ever stronger, in 2019 and 2020 the latest technology would again be applied to integrate MES, equipment, BARCODE, personnel, and more into a new architecture. MiDFUN, with its rich experience and stable technology, would support Everlight in enhancing its international competitiveness!
