Kinpo Electronics Philippines SQM and COM Project Officially Kicks Off
After one year of headquarters implementation, Kinpo Electronics has expanded its SQM supplier quality management and COM abnormality management practices to the Philippines factory. The kickoff marks another step toward a unified and smarter global quality chain.
Context
From local rollout to global quality alignment
The headquarters implementation provided a working model for supplier quality management, abnormality handling, and digital process discipline. Extending the model to the Philippines factory helps align cross-site execution and reduce the gap between local quality data and group-level quality governance.
AI quality assistant roadmap
Kinpo also discussed deeper use of COM knowledge assets with retrieval-augmented generation. The goal is to help review supplier 8D reports, identify missing information, and preserve abnormality knowledge across customer complaints, incoming inspection, assembly, process, and shipment scenarios.
Toward quality intelligence
The project also points toward ESG, SQM, FMEA, and Control Plan digital transformation. MiDFUN will keep supporting a practical path from process digitization to quality intelligence.
