A professional manufacturer of specialty chemicals used in the semiconductor and TFT-LCD optoelectronics industries, such as developers, cleaning solutions, chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) slurries, TEOS thin-film formation liquids, and acid etchants. As a multinational supplier of high-tech chemicals, quality stability and continuous improvement have always been important operating principles for the company. Coupled with the ever-changing requirements of its semiconductor and optoelectronics customers, finding a system provider capable of long-term collaboration and possessing the relevant professional background in quality management and statistics was a major challenge.
In 2005, after extensive evaluation, the company selected MiDFUN as its partner for SPC and quality management systems. Over more than a decade, keeping pace with the evolution of Taiwan’s semiconductor and optoelectronics manufacturing processes, and especially with the advances in nanometer technology in the semiconductor industry, the corresponding quality requirements and statistical control methods have likewise continued to advance. Through the collaboration with MiDFUN, the company has continuously met customer requirements and pursued internal self-improvement. During this period, features such as record high / low management, R1/R2 management, and the Ctrl limit filter function were all the result of long discussions and testing between the two sides before customer requirements could be satisfied. In addition, through the establishment of the SQM and SQP systems, from COA upload management before incoming materials arrive from suppliers, to quality inspection after receipt, to interactions with suppliers, the originally complex SQC operations have been further simplified.
The goal for 2020 was to optimize the plant’s current OQC, COA, and ECOA operations. Going forward, the two sides will also continue to collaborate and share information to strengthen each other’s competitiveness in their respective industries.
