Zhen Ding Technology: Adopting the MiDFUN SPC System

最後更新:2026.06.22

Founded in 2006, Zhen Ding Technology Holding Limited (ZDT) is principally engaged in printed circuit boards (PCB), with High Density Interconnection (HDI) boards, Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC), and Rigid Printed Circuit Boards (RPCB) as its flagship products, employing more than 30,000 direct staff.
The manufacturing enterprises in which ZDT holds its main investments include Pengding Holding (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and Qiding Technology Qinhuangdao Co., Ltd., with Pengding Holding primarily producing various PCB products and Qiding Technology primarily producing semiconductor-related products. Their products are widely used in computing and information technology, consumer electronics, communications, networking, automotive, medical, and other fields.

ZDT adopted the MiDFUN SPC system in 2007 and upgraded to the SPC-PLUS system in 2012, using the MDC API to integrate with the company’s in-house developed MES and ERP systems; the planning focus at that time was how to connect with MES. Because ZDT runs low-volume, high-variety production, it is highly dependent on SHORT-RUN. Since 2013, the company’s quality-engineering PhD has continually proposed variant applications of SHORT-RUN, such as converting by part number into X-BAR-R charts or performing multiple conversions based on stratification. The company’s quality assurance is highly professional, and customers also keep raising requirements; the company’s IT staff sometimes lament that many professional terms used by users are hard to understand, and that changes in regulations and audits are simply too fast — fortunately, MiDFUN has kept pace with the changing requirements and regulatory expertise.

In 2016 and 2017, analysis shifted from being primarily variable-based to attribute-based, and in 2018 the plan was to use the MiDFUN system to classify this portion automatically.

In 2019, building on the foundation of earlier collaboration, the two parties used the SPC system to expand the rollout into a project integrating shop-floor monitoring with a dashboard system. From 2020 onward, the related applications would deepen across each flexible-board plant as the depth and breadth of deployment increased.
