About This Case

MEKTEC Manufacturing Co. (Taiwan), Ltd. Project Background: Starting From Automotive Customer Requirements

In 2021, in order to meet the increasingly stringent quality management requirements of automotive market customers, MEKTEC adopted the MiDFUN FMEA system for the first time. The automotive electronics supply chain follows the IATF 16949 automotive quality management system, which sets clear requirements for suppliers’ risk management and process control, and FMEA is one of its core tools.

Stringent Audit Requirements From Automotive Customers

Automotive electronics customers require suppliers to provide complete FMEA documentation, SPC process capability reports (Cpk), instrument calibration records and supplier management records. The previous approach of relying on Excel and paper-based management required substantial time to compile data during audits, and versions were difficult to trace.
